Destination Wedding Videographer

Book Linus as your Destination Wedding Videographer for your dreamy wedding day. Available for destination travel to serve you wherever you may be located. My intention is to realize your vision and to create an unforgettable wedding video that will bring about all the beautiful feelings from your wedding ceremony. I am located in Nyköping, Sweden.

I offer premium wedding videos that I call highlight videos which typically is a 5-10 minutes long wedding video that features key moments of the day – accompanied with music offering you a wonderful overview of the happenings through-out the day. This is the most requested package and it is a perfect gift for yourself and for your family and friends that could not participate on your wedding day.

There is also an option to film a full wedding video which can range from 20 minutes to an hour. This would be a slower paced video included full ceremony footage, speeches and more extensive coverage of the day’s events.

What I really enjoy about creating destination wedding videos is that the structure of the production may be the same but on the other hand, the content will always differ tremendously because people are different, the locations, the event – pretty much everything! So I think I will never be tired of creating beautiful wedding videos. It is really a privilege to be asked to film a wedding for me.

A cool thing about wedding videos is that it can be shot in a wide range of ways depending on your preference. But I would say the most common way to go about it is probably to focus on capturing all the important events of the day and then craft the story in a chronological order in post-production. But as I've said, there are many ways to go about it!

So if you have suggestions or ideas about how you want your wedding video to be structured, I would love to discuss your requests and ideas on our pre-meeting. After all, we are co-creating partners and we want the best possible outcome.

Setting up one or two pre-meeting is very important for me so I can be well-prepared for the wedding day. This is also a good opportunity for us to get to know each other a bit better before the magical day.

Experienced & Compassionate Wedding Videographer

In 2016, I made my first wedding video — a magical wedding at Marmorbruket, in Sweden. Since then, I have filmed several weddings all around. Doing weddings is always a fun assignment and finding a better environment to work within is nearly impossible. The vibe is great! People are happy, and I'm just floating around observing all the beautiful happenings with my camera.

As an add-on I also offer wedding photography becauase there are so many couples requesting the combination photo and video.

My Style and Process

I would describe my style as documentary with a cinematic style. I prefer to document the day’s events from a guest's perspective and be subtle in my movements. My goal with your wedding video is to capture the essence of the event and bring about feelings that take you back when you watch the video again.

I often use a gimbal in my wedding videos to achieve smooth shots where the camera seems to float. I believe this adds extra harmony and elegance – elevating the video to new heights. However, a handheld camera can enhance the energy in the room, especially during the party. So a mixture of camera techniques really makes the final result dynamic and exciting to watch. In all my video productions, authenticity is important. I will not force you to do anything that feels unnatural or uncomfortable, it is really important.

My recommendation would be to set aside time for shooting around sunset to capture the dreamy light that comes when the sun is setting. It depends on the weather, but if we get it right, it’s well worth taking a break from the festivities. During the photography portrait session, I’m happy to be there, capturing behind the scenes footage that later can be woven into the rest of the day's events.

Key moments that are great to include in the wedding video are the couple’s preparations, first look, guests arriving, the ceremony, mingling, fun activities, speeches, the cake-cutting, first dance and maybe some party footage as well.

When the wedding is over, my editing process begins right away. I go through all the raw footage and create a rough structure for the video in a first draft. The video will then go through a phase of refinement, where I will synchronize the music and start the color-grading process so the wedding video will look cohesive.
