Last year I got the brilliant idea of doing a volunteer contribution to support stray animals in Montenegro. I got notified on social media that the population of specifically stray cats in Montenegro are very big. So within a couple of days I launched a Kickstarter-campaign to raise money to fund this important project (Kickstarter)
Unfortunately the project was not 100% funded so I had to make a decision wheather to do it regardless of investors. I made the choice to go and I went for a 9 days stay in both Kotor & Budva in the beginning of October. I setup up four interviews with people from different backgrounds and stories which all turned out great.
Guardians of Montenegro is a documentary aimed to shed light upon the enormous population of stray cats in Montenegro and specifically Kotor and Budva. In the documentary we dig deep into the topic of stray cats and how to deal with the rising population of cats.
I am really happy with the results and proud of my dedication and conviction to following through even as I had to fund the project myself. I look forward to keep producing documentaries with strong messages and targets on topics I care about in 2025. Let me know if you are interested in investing in my upcoming films as a partner to make more impactful content.
If you want to help out you can send your donations to Kotor Kitties, and it will really make a difference for the cats in Montenegro.

UPDATE:
After publishing the documentary I was invited to screen the documentary on the Animal Welfare Festival in Budva on April 4th, which will be great to show it locally!
