I would say my style is documentary with cinematic elements. I prefer to document the events from a guest perspective. My goal with your wedding video is for it to reflect the day in its entirety and generate a feeling that takes you back.

I often use a gimbal in my wedding videos to get smooth shots where the camera kind of floats forward. I think it conveys a harmony and elegance that takes the film to greater heights. On the other hand, a hand-held moving camera can enhance the energy in the room when, for example, it's time to party. So the mix of several different camera techniques makes the end result dynamic and exciting to watch. In all my film productions, authenticity is important. We don't do anything that feels unnatural or uncomfortable.

One recommendation is to set aside time for filming during sunset, so we can capture the dreamy light that often occurs. It depends on the weather of course, but if we get it right, it's well worth a break from the festivities. In connection with the portrait photography, I am happy to participate and collect material that then can be woven together with the rest of the video.

Parts that can be nice to include in the wedding video are the respective preparations, first look, arriving guests, the actual wedding, mingling, other activities, behind the scenes from the photoshoot, dinnerspeeches, cake, party/dance.

Once the wedding is over, the editing process begins for me. I go through all the raw material and create a basic structure for the video in a first draft. The video is refined, synced to music and color corrected to give the wedding video a coherent m look.
