I would say my style is documentary with cinematic elements. I like to document the events from a guest perspective. My goal with your wedding film is that it should reflect the day in its entirety and generate a feeling that takes you back.

I often use a gimbal in my wedding videos to get smooth shots where the camera kind of floats forward. I think it conveys a harmony and elegance that takes the film to greater heights. On the other hand, a hand-held camera can enhance the energy in the room when, for example, it's time to PARTY. So the mix of different camera techniques makes the end result dynamic and exciting to watch.

In all my film productions, authenticity is important. We don't do anything that feels unnatural or uncomfortable. A recommendation is to set aside time for filming during the Golden Hour (sunset) to capture the dreamy light that often occurs. This is of course weather-dependent, but it's well worth the divagation.

A common setup is that I film preparations in the morning, fly the drone, and prepare for the wedding ceremony. I will film a possible First Look if that is something you wish aswell. When the ceremony is ON, I move around the wedding venue as smoothly as possible to collect clips from different angles. When the wedding ceremony is over, I continue filming the mingling activities. Thereafter the dinner is filmed in its entirety with speeches, cake-cutting, dancing/party. We might sneak away and film some beautiful sunset sequences if the weather allows for it.

Once the wedding is over, the editing process begins. I go through all the video material and create a first draft of the film. The film is then refined, synced to music, sound effects and graphics are added and finally color grading is applied to give the Wedding Film a cinematic, look.
