Today I tried graffiti for the first time. It was a fun experience and I can imagine doing it more times. I was freewheeling without a sketch and a clear idea.. and the only thing I knew was that the word "Loco" would become my tag. Why I don't know.
It took a couple of hours to put together the sketching, coloring, background and highlights. In the beginning I was very finicky and careful until I released the self-imposed pressure of performance and let the color flow..
I am impressed with how Raphe and Pepsi managed to get such clean and even lines in their tags. My tag became more rough and unpolished which also reflects how I felt during the painting. I understand that there is a lot of time and practice behind making a clean piece.
I also took the opportunity to take some video clips during the process.
